South Jordan Middle will be participating in the state-wide earthquake drill, The Great Utah Shake Out, on Wednesday, April 16th. This will be a great opportunity for our faculty, staff, and students to review our emergency procedures in the case of an earthquake. Students with 3.8 cumulative GPA and good citizenship may apply for National Junior Honor Society. You may receive an application in your 7th period or you can pick one up from the main office. The applications are due back to Mrs. Martin or Mrs. Bowen by Tuesday April 22nd.
Those who have been in NJHS this year do not need to reapply but all 7th and 8th grade members should attend the Induction Ceremony on May 1st at 6:30pm in the Kiva.
This year South Jordan City Chamber of Commerce would like to recognize Joleen Reddish with the Teacher of the Year Award. We appreciate all the hard work and dedication Ms. Reddish gives to her science students each year. Way to go Ms. Reddish!
The Student Body Officers are sponsoring a fundraiser for the Ronald McDonald House from April 7 – 16. Money will be collected at the beginning of the day and at lunch. Along with this fundraiser there will be competition to see which grade can donate the most money. The grade that earns the most money will go to an assembly on April 16th. Please help us in raising money for this great organization!
