Posted on May 16, 2013, at 7:29 am | Last modified May 16, 2013, at 7:29 am | Print This Dear Parents:
South Jordan Middle School’s Annual 9th Grade Lagoon Day will be June 4, 2013. Transportation will be provided by regular district school buses. A $5.00 fee will be necessary to cover the cost of transportation. Appropriate behavior on the bus is expected. Colored SJMS signs will be placed in the windows of the SJMS buses.
Students will be assigned to buses for travel to Lagoon. Buses will leave South Jordan Middle School at approximately 9:00 AM and will leave Lagoon at 5:00 PM. All students will be returned to SJMS. Students should arrange rides home from the school. Lagoon closes at 5:00 PM so all students will need to ride the buses home or have parents pick them up at that time. Only students who have paid to ride the bus to and from Lagoon may ride the bus home. Students not on the buses by 5:00 PM will be left on assumption that they are getting parent rides home.
Lagoon officers will maintain order. Smoking and drinking are not permitted. If you need to contact Lagoon, please call 1-800-748-5246, ext. 5000, or 801-451-8050.
Students may purchase, AT LAGOON, an all-day Passport for $28.00, tax included. (This includes all rides except Sky Coaster, Top Eliminator, Peak Exposure, Catapult, & Double Thunder Raceway. Lagoon-A-Beach, Wild Kingdom Train, and Kiddieland are closed on June 4.
Your student must return the permission form available in the Main Office to participate in this activity.
The school dress code will be in effect. Any student not in compliance will not be allowed to board the bus. In the days leading up to Lagoon Day, students who demonstrate behavior problems (ex: attendance, insubordination, library fines, etc.) may not be allowed to ride the bus to/from Lagoon. School administration will contact parents if a student is not eligible to ride the bus for behavior problems.
We appreciate our ninth grade students and wish them an enjoyable day. Please call if you have any questions regarding June 4, at 412-2900.
