Ms. Phister will be recognized with a plaque and cash award at an upcoming school board meeting. Thanks for everything that you do for SoJo, Ms. Phister! Herbert has authorized the lowering of the Flag of the United States of America and the Flag of the State of Utah on Wednesday, May 15, 2013 in recognition of Peace Officers Memorial Day. Governor Herbert issued the following statement: “On this day we pay tribute to the brave men and women who have fallen or been injured in serving and protecting their fellowmen. The Boys Choir I, Mixed Glee Choir, and Girls Choir I will perform at 6:30 p.m. and the Concert Choir, Boys Choir II, Honor Choir, and Girls Choir II will perform at 7:15 p.m. See you there! Ms. Higgs and Ms. Jensen were nominees for CTE Teacher of the Year, and Ms. Higgs was selected as the winner. SJMS student Christian S. was selected as the 2013 CTE Student Choice Award winner. CTE teachers are nominated by other teachers, and students are nominated by their teachers. Congratulations Christian, Ms. Higgs, and Ms. Jensen!
